Anna Dziedzic

Dr Anna Dziedzic is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Laureate Program in Comparative Constitutional Law. She researches comparative constitutional law and judicial studies, with a particular focus on the Pacific region. Her postdoctoral research explores constitution making and design in contexts of legal pluralism. She researches constitution-making, federalism, judges and judging, and the interaction between constitutions and gender, and writes academic publications as well as practical policy papers.

Anna is a Co-Editor of the Blog of the International Association for Constitutional Law, and Regional Coordinator for Oceania for the Global Citizenship Observatory at the European University Institute. Previously she was a Global Academic Fellow at the Faculty of Law at Hong Kong University, where she conducted comparative research into foreign judges on domestic courts.  
She has practical experience in governance, law reform and constitution-making in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. She was previously a legal policy adviser in the Australian Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Australian Law Reform Commission. She has also worked with government agencies, international organisations and NGOs in the Pacific region on a range of law reform projects. She holds a PhD from Melbourne Law School, an MA in Human Rights from University College London and first class honours degrees in Arts and Law from the Australian National University.
