Dr Dan Parker
Dr Dan Parker is a postdoctoral researcher focused on ecological design and biodiversity. He has co-designed habitat-creation projects for birds, mammals, and insects in Italy, Australia, and England. His PhD from the University of Melbourne was awarded the Chancellor’s Prize in 2025. Dan is combining his role as Research Associate on the project with studies for a Postgraduate Certificate in Ecological Survey Techniques at the University of Oxford. Specialising in computer-aided design, Dan has taught at university level, worked in architectural practice, and held positions in digital fabrication labs. With experience as a ranger and wildlife surveyor, Dan has worked in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in Aotearoa New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
