Mark Deng

Dr Mark Deng (an émigré from South Sudan) is a researcher in South Sudanese public law. He is currently a McKenzie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne. Mark completed his PhD in 2021 at The University of Queensland, where he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow and lecturer. His research focuses on constitution making and institutional development in South Sudan, the relationship between South Sudanese customary law and traditions and international human rights law and legal liberalism.
